The K-pop star’s label Soribada on Thursday confirmed reports that she will release a new single on Aug. 2. It was originally slated to be released in late June.

“(The release date) was pushed back because (Seo) put much effort and thought into it, as it has been so long since she last released a record. It is still a work in process,” an official from the label told local media.
While details of the music hasn’t been revealed, both the agency and the singer hinted that it would be of a genre that she has “never attempted before.”
Seo debuted as a replacement member of now-disbanded girl group Jewelry. In addition to singing, she has also been featured in hit TV programs like “We Got Married.”
